Cherry on Top Cupcakes Pink Frosted Cupcake

Materials:
Cardstock in dark brown, pale green, pink, red, and white
Ellison Die Cupcake Card and Decorations (No. 27155), Sizzix Bigz Die Phrase, Hugs & Kisses with Flower (No. 655698), and Sizzix Sizzlits Valentine Flowers Set (No. 655676)
½"-wide Grosgrain ribbon in red and pink dot
Ranger Glitter glue
Fine-tip marker in black
Gel pen in white
Small rhinestone in clear, one
Double-sided adhesive
Scissors, ruler, pencil
Instructions:
  1. Use the Cupcake Die to cut Cupcake Card once from dark brown cardstock, the top of the Cupcake Card twice from pink cardstock, and the cupcake wrapper once from red cardstock. Detach the pink cupcake top cutouts along the perforated line, then adhere onto the top of the front and back side of the dark brown Cupcake Card cutout as shown, aligning edges. Apply glitter glue to the pink cupcake tops. Allow to dry. Fold the cupcake wrapper where indicated. Slip over the bottom of the Cupcake Card cutout and adhere in place.
  2. Cut two 8" lengths from grosgrain ribbon and wrap around the front and back wrapper as shown in project photo. Adhere the ribbon in place.
  3. Use the Decorations Die to cut two cherries from red cardstock and two stems from pale green cardstock. Adhere the pale green stems onto the cherry cutout, then adhere onto the top of the cupcake, referring to project photo for placement. Use the gel pen to draw a highlight down the right side of the cherry as shown.
  4. Freehand cut a heart shape from pink cardstock. Use the fine-tip marker and gel pen to doodle the heart. Adhere a rhinestone to the right side of the heart, then adhere onto the right side of the ribbon as shown. Create a different look by using patterned papers to make the cupcake wrapper, pink cardstock to make the cherry, and by adhering small heart cutouts onto the cupcake top as shown in project photo.
